Description

Kamyabi works to give isolated vulnerable women awareness in their personal life, financial matters and education. Further, we emphasise the significance of confident educated mothers as they have the power to relay their knowledge to future generations.

The aim of this project is to introduce a totally new and relative way of learning and training Asian women in business and employment. It also caters for women from ethnic minorities in general, facing problems in advancing in their chosen careers. Various programmes have been introduced over the years to improve the quality of life in this particular part of the population, but due to some facts and needs, these programmes worked very well on paper but did not bring any changes in their life style or way of thinking among our client group.

Recent research results show that a big part of communities are still struggling with the above issues, how to improve the quality of life? The main theme of KAMYABI is to not only plan and deliver an integrated pathway for women who are surrounded by barriers and unable to remove them, but also to give these women an opportunity to work in their own special circumstances for learning and entering employment.

The project aims are to introduce the concept of social enterprise to the women and offer some opportunity to get them engaged or start their own social enterprise. The project intends to move them towards independent self-employment and a brighter future.

KEY FEATURES
Kamyabi is working in partnerships, which are already established and well known to learning and training providers.

Kamyabi is the only project in the area that offers bilingual IAG support.

Kamyabi will appear as the First Women-Only National Test Centre in the area, in the near future.

The JOB CLUB provision is the opportunity for women to discuss their very own personal issues and get support with job search to suit their circumstances.

Social Enterprise introductions will be the top most facility to promote self-employment and self-supported business. Kamyabi’s communication skills and strong understanding of cultural backgrounds make it easier for vulnerable women to discuss issues with them that were never treated before.

Family Learning Programme is the highlighted area of progression for the project, as we believe a Mother’s lap is the first institution for the child and we want to bring a change through the mothers in the family.
