Description
Opening in Nottingham, 2008. The New Art Exchange will be a major new contemporary multicultural, visual and participatory arts centre. With a focus on African Caribbean and South Asian Artists, The New Art Exchange will a prestigious black led arts venue and cultural hub within the region and further a field with precedent outside London and will promote and support arts of national and international quality.
The New Art Exchange will be built in the heart of Hyson Green, one of the most deprived areas in the East Midlands. Despite this, there is strong sense of pride in this vibrant and culturally diverse community with rooted BME businesses and emerging entrepreneurs. This exciting and innovative capital development will be the catalyst for change in the regeneration of this area, encouraging community cohesion and social inclusion.
