Description
The Partnership Council is a charity based in Hyson Green that works with local people to improve this inner city area of Nottingham. We run a number of projects such as the Skills Exchange - a Time Bank for Area 4 ; a Voluntary Sector Forum for Area 4; an Older Person’s Forum and a Disabled Person’s Forum.
We have a Spring Clean Group and Community Safety Group that brings together residents and other agencies to tackle cleansing and community safety issues in the area. Both groups run a number of projects including clean up days, crime prevention campaigns, work to improve parks including the Forest Recreation Ground, and environmental education events.
We run the Children’s Forum in partnership with 12 primary schools, which amongst other things runs a small grants fund where children make the funding decisions.
We have a Volunteering Development Project, which links with this VoluntaryDirectory website and a national website, do-it.org.uk., as well as CVS and many local voluntary organisations.
